I really needed to consolidate credit cards if I was ever going to get out of the hole I had gotten myself into. I had a good job, but I just spent beyond my means. It was embarrassing, and I hated even having to admit that I needed help. My tastes were expensive, unfortunately. After I got help with my debt I was able to get a handle on my spending. Now it embarrasses me even more to think how flippant I was about my credit cards and my credit score. I’ve been working diligently to teach my daughter the true meaning of money and credit. Hopefully I’ve done a good job with that and she won’t ever go down the same path that I have. I do know how easy it is to go wrong, however, so I know how to help her if that is ever the case.
